# BINX Forge Genre Lab 1.0 Five original bounded learning examples; no franchise art/code/audio or purchased files. Circuit Spark: 2D steering, ordered forward gates, two laps, drift release and a turbo pickup. Meadow Bonds: step encounters, three original species, turn-based attacks/capture/flee, three-member party and home healing. Block Patch: a 2D editable grid with inventory, collision and placement/mining rules. Not a 3D voxel engine. Sprout Shift: four plots, plant/water/day/harvest, four-harvest goal. Not a full life simulator. Pulse Meadow: auto-pulse attacks, bounded enemies/gems, HP, XP upgrades and sixty seconds of active simulation. Extract the ZIP. In the genre-lab folder run `node check.mjs` (tested Node24.19.0), then `node serve.mjs`. Open http://127.0.0.1:8080. Optional port: `node serve.mjs 8081`. Stop with Ctrl+C. Keep every relative path. Do not double-click HTML: ES modules require HTTP and JavaScript MIME. Choose a lesson in the menu, or use `index.html?mode=creatures` on a static host. The local helper deliberately refuses queries; use the menu locally. Controls: focus the canvas; arrows/WASD or held pointer buttons. Use action buttons for the selected mode. One animation-frame loop serves every restart/lesson. Hidden-tab/blur pause, input cancellation and pagehide cleanup reuse Pocket Engine1.0. Bounded elapsed-time substeps preserve at most0.1 seconds per frame. Longer stalls drop time; timers measure simulation, not wall-clock race results. Publish index.html, game.css, main.mjs, input.mjs, worlds.mjs and render.mjs together to your existing HTTPS static host. Retain LICENSE.txt. No package install, backend, account, cloud save or external file request is required. There is no local save in these examples. Restart clears a run. Full project saving is a separate guide milestone. Tests exercise simulation and controller/input/render doubles plus local HTTP, not real browser screenshots, audible output or phone/assistive controls. Before releasing your own game: test actual keyboard/touch release/cancel, tab pause/resume, win/loss, two restarts, lesson changes and the exact HTTPS build. Original world rules and geometry: BINX Forge, MIT. Input is the unchanged MIT Pocket Engine1.0 module; CSS and local serve helper adapted from Pocket Engine. Added resources have separate licences. Keep working systems first.
